This public sculpture was made possible by the Lismore Laneways Placemaker grant, managed by Lismore City Council and offered through an EOI from The Back Alley Gallery in 2021. The funding for this artwork was part of a larger CBD revitalisation grant from the NSW government.
Made in collaboration with Eden Crawford-Harriman, In the Heart builds on a strong connection to the “Come to the Heart” messaging that celebrates our wonderful community. Our proposal to the EOI developed from a late-night idea on a post-it note and was transformed into a 9-month project that involved multiple contractors, council workers and engineers within the Northern Rivers Region.
